Editor's Profile

Dr Denis Venter is a highly experienced, methodical and dedicated editor based in Pretoria, South Africa.

He has been involved with various academic and research institutions over more than four decades, during which time he developed excellent writing and editorial skills. From 1975 to 1977 he edited International Affairs Bulletin, an academic journal of the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) in Johannesburg; and during the period 1981 to 1990 he was the editor of the Journal of Contemporary African Studies, published by the Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA), Pretoria.


He was Co-Editor of Africa Review, a journal of the African Studies Association of India (ASAIndia), and Consulting Editor of Diaspora Studies, an academic journal of the Organisation of Diaspora Initiatives (ODI), from 2010 to 2013.
